Job summary

White Horse Employment are partnering with a well-established specialist engineering and bespoke vehicle manufacturer to recruit a hands-on design and project engineering specialist.

You will own projects from initial brief through CAD design, manufacture and handover, liaising with customers and suppliers, and ensuring regulatory compliance while delivering on time and to budget. SolidWorks experience is essential, with a focus on one-off or low-volume coach-building projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in specialist coachbuilding, bespoke vehicle design or a similar specialist engineering environment.
• Strong CAD experience and design for manufacture.
• Ability to produce and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience managing projects from design to completion.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with customers and suppliers to define specifications.
• Produce drawings using SolidWorks.
• Take ownership of projects from brief to handover.
• Manage projects to meet time, budget, and specification.
• Coordinate with workshop and QA for testing and certification.
• Maintain project records and documentation.
• Support ISO 9001 compliance and quality control.
