Job summary

Timely Recruit Ltd is helping a UK utility business recruit a Lead HV Design Engineer for grid connections in Surrey. The role is hybrid (2–3 days in office) with a leadership focus on HV networks up to 132kV. You will influence design decisions and lead engineers within a lean team.

Lead HV Design Engineer | Grid Connections

Surrey | Hybrid – 2–3 days in office

up to £80,000 + bonus

We’re hiring a Lead HV Design Engineer to join one of the UK’s largest independent multi-utility businesses.

With 1.1m+ adopted utility connections, 26 years of trading, 2026 NAV of the Year recognition and continued growth across electricity, gas, water, heat and EV infrastructure, this is a business with real momentum in the UK utilities market.

You’ll join a lean design team with genuine influence, leading engineers and reviewing and designing complex HV networks up to 132kV.
