Job summary

Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Band 7 Dermatology Surgical Clinical Nurse Specialist to join Bedford Hospital. You will lead nurse-led clinics, assess and manage patients, and support dermatological surgical procedures within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• On the live NMC Register (Part 1) is required.
• Relevant degree in Nursing Studies/Health Sciences.
• Specialist practice or Dermatology course is desirable or required to undertake.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate nurse-led dermatology clinics (assessment, treatment, follow-up).
• Undertake comprehensive patient assessments, planning, implementation and evaluation of care.
• Support diagnosis and management of complex dermatological conditions.
• Work with Consultants and MDT to ensure high standards of patient care.
• Provide wound management and post-operative follow-up.
• Support skin cancer pathways and ensure continuity of care.
