Job summary

Compass Community is seeking a Deputy Manager for a children’s home in Redhill to support the Registered Manager and deliver high-quality, child-centred care. This role suits experienced Senior Residential Workers or existing Deputy Managers aiming to develop leadership in residential childcare.

You will supervise staff, lead shifts and meetings, ensure placement plans are followed and safeguarding standards maintained, and provide guidance to the wider team.

Qualifications

• Age 22 or older in line with Ofsted regulations.
• NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare is required.
• At least 2 years' experience in residential childcare with young people.
• Must hold a valid manual driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Staff supervision and leading shifts.
• Creating rotas and leading staff meetings.
• Ensuring placement plans are followed, education is supported, and safeguarding policies are maintained.
• Provide welfare support to the children and guidance to the staff team.
