Qualifications

• Registered Nurse, AHP or Social Worker with UK statutory professional registration.
• Post-graduate experience leading a Learning Disabilities service at senior Band 5 or Band 6-equivalent level.
• Completion of a recognised Teaching and Assessing/Mentorship qualification.
• Personal qualities include reliability, honesty, patience, resilience, motivation and leadership skills.
• Current clean driving licence is desirable

Responsibilities

• Assess service users with complex needs.
• Guide and direct staff in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care.
• Contribute to recruitment and retention of team members.
• Conduct professional development reviews and support staff in addressing development needs.
• Act as a professional role model, promoting high standards of practice and values.
• Act up as necessary in the absence of the manager.
