Job summary

MBR Dental in Southampton is recruiting a Lead Dental Nurse for a private practice in Hampshire on a permanent basis. This role leads the nursing team, chairs chairside duties, and supports daily operations.

The position is full-time, 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:00 am–5:30 pm, with salary £37,000-£38,000 depending on experience and extensive benefits including funded CPD, DBS and indemnity fees, and uniform provided.

Qualifications

• GDC registration and a valid DBS check.
• Minimum two years' UK dental nursing experience.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Dentally software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Chairside assistance and patient care.
• Infection control and surgery preparation.
• Leading, mentoring and supporting the nursing team.
• Managing staff rotas, stock control and ordering.
• Supporting CQC compliance and clinical audits.
• Assisting the Practice Manager with daily operations.
• Providing occasional reception cover.
