Job summary

MBR Dental Recruitment is seeking a Lead Dental Nurse for a private practice in Southampton, Hampshire. The role is full-time (42.5 hours/week) with a salary of £37,000–£38,000 per annum and includes full-time career development opportunities.

Key duties include chairside assistance, infection control, team leadership, rotas and stock management, and supporting daily operations with occasional reception cover. GDC registration and DBS clearance are required.

Qualifications

• GDC registration and a valid DBS check.
• Minimum two years’ UK dental nursing experience.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Dentally software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Chairside assistance and patient care.
• Infection control and surgery preparation.
• Leading, mentoring and supporting the nursing team.
• Managing staff rotas, stock control and ordering.
• Supporting CQC compliance and clinical audits.
• Assisting the Practice Manager with daily operations.
