Job description

About us

We’re the team behind digital retailer Very.

Our purpose, helping families get more out of life, powers everything we do.

And we want our people to get more out of life too! If you’re high-performing, ambitious and make the most of every opportunity, we want to hear from you. In return, you’ll enjoy heaps of flexibility, great perks and benefits, and the freedom to be yourself, keep learning and take your career wherever you want it to go.

If you love making a difference, you’ll love making it sparkle for millions of Very customers.

About the team

This role sits at the heart of one of Very's most exciting areas.

You'll work across our web and mobile experiences, helping shape the products and features that millions of customers interact with every year. From large-scale transformation initiatives to continuous optimisation, you'll play a key role in making sure great ideas become great outcomes.

You'll have significant influence across Product, Engineering, UX and business stakeholders, helping teams stay focused, aligned and moving at pace. At the same time, you'll help raise the bar for delivery excellence across the wider organisation by championing best practice, coaching others and continuously improving how we work.

This isn't about simply tracking plans and reporting status. It's about creating the conditions for high-performing teams to do their best work and deliver meaningful value for customers and the business.

About the role

At Very, we're creating the future of digital retail. Every click, search, purchase and interaction across our website and mobile apps is an opportunity to make life easier, faster and more enjoyable for our customers.

That's why we're looking for a Lead Delivery Manager to join our Digital Customer Experience (DCX) tribe.

This is a chance to lead the delivery of high-profile initiatives that directly impact how customers shop with us. You'll work across multiple squads, influence product and technology strategy, and help create the kind of seamless experiences that set Very apart from the competition.

If you thrive in fast-moving environments, love bringing people together around a common goal and enjoy turning ambitious ideas into reality, this could be the challenge you've been looking for.

You’ll help shape the future of digital experiences at Very by:

  • Leading the delivery of large, complex initiatives across multiple product squads and strategic programmes
  • Creating the clarity, focus and momentum that enables teams to deliver valuable customer outcomes consistently
  • Working closely with Product Managers, Engineers and Designers to align priorities and turn ambitious roadmaps into reality
  • Removing blockers, managing dependencies and helping teams navigate complexity with confidence
  • Driving a culture of accountability, ownership and continuous improvement across delivery teams
  • Using data and delivery metrics to improve flow, predictability and overall performance
  • Bringing stakeholders together to make informed decisions and maintain momentum on key initiatives
  • Managing risks proactively and ensuring challenges are surfaced early with clear mitigation plans
  • Supporting investment decisions through strong planning, governance and financial oversight
  • Coaching and mentoring delivery professionals, helping raise capability across the broader delivery community
  • Playing a leading role in building world‑class delivery practices that help Very move faster and smarter
About you

You'll be an experienced delivery leader who enjoys operating in complex environments where collaboration, influence and problem solving matter just as much as planning.

You'll likely have experience leading cross-functional teams within a large digital business and understand what it takes to deliver customer-focused products at scale.

We're particularly interested in people who:

  • Have a strong background in Agile delivery and know how to help teams perform at their best
  • Enjoy working across Product, Engineering and Business functions to achieve shared outcomes
  • Can confidently lead large-scale, complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders and dependencies
  • Bring a pragmatic approach to delivery, balancing pace with quality and governance
  • Are skilled at managing risks, navigating ambiguity and solving problems before they become blockers
  • Use data and insight to drive continuous improvement rather than relying on assumptions
  • Have the credibility and communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Enjoy coaching others and helping teams develop their delivery maturity

Most importantly, you'll be someone who brings energy, resilience and a genuine passion for helping teams achieve great things together.
