If you wish to work in this innovative environment and are an experienced Database management professional who has worked on large-scale production databases with a focus on AWS and Linux, then we have an excellent role within our DevOps team as a Lead Database Engineer.
Our DevOps team supports multiple internal software teams; this high-level support enables those teams to provide our clients with best-in-class software solutions. The DevOps Team at Trimble provides development, hosting, and managed services for various application solutions and services. The databases underlying these systems are mission-critical in terms of high performance, high availability, and data security.
Your role will primarily involve developing, supporting, and operating production and development OLTP and data warehouse databases. Support activities include maintenance, tuning, and troubleshooting OLTP and reporting operations for PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB server databases. Success in this role requires knowledge of these platforms on AWS RDS instances and Linux-based infrastructure.
You will join a global team of DevOps professionals with colleagues in the US, Europe, and Asia. Experience working in international teams is advantageous. You should also have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to build excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Due to time zone differences, you must be able to manage your own time effectively and draw on your experience to resolve database challenges.
