Job summary

SSE is seeking a Lead Solutions Architect (Data) to provide technical leadership and design expertise for the Transmission Business Unit. You will shape data architectures, platforms and governance to enable a data‑driven electricity transmission network.

Reporting to the Head of Architecture, you will create high‑level models and domain roadmaps, guiding both projects and BAU: ensuring data governance, security and cost‑effective designs across the data lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Own end-to-end technical architecture across the Data domain.
• Experience with agile DevOps, Scrum, Kanban and lean development.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent IT domain architecture experience in asset‑intensive industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead data domain solution architecture for the Data domain and RIIO-T3 investments needs.
• Create high level solution models, domain roadmaps and solution architectures.
• Guide data governance, security, and compliance across data assets.
