Job summary

SSE plc seeks a Lead Solutions Architect (Data) to provide technical leadership for the Data domain within the Transmission Business Unit. You will design data platform solutions, ensure governance and security, and guide architecture decisions to support RIIO-T3 investments.

Reporting to the Head of Architecture, you will develop domain roadmaps, mentor teams, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver data-driven outcomes for a safer, more efficient electricity network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in asset-intensive industries, ideally energy and power.
• Knowledge of data platforms, architectures and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data architecture across the Data domain, from source systems to analytics.
• Ensure data governance, security and compliance across all data assets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions and ensure architectures align with business needs.
