Key Responsibilities- Lead initiative to modernize and streamline data systems/processes, including transitioning to a new cloud-based platform
- Working with cloud-based technology to address shipping business requirements
- Enforce and establish standards, policies and best practices for freight modelling whilst ensuring compliance with data governance, regulatory requirements and metadata management.
Required Skills/Experience- Experience designing, building and maintaining complex Python-based models in the commodity market domain.
- Experience setting up models and data flows in cloud-based environments like AWS or Azure
- Knowledge of related technologies such as Databricks and Spark
- Experience with geospatial algorithms and machine learning
Qualifications- Higher education with Master's degree in Data Science, Engineering, Maths, Physics, Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years experience in data modelling or related disciplines, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
