Job summary

On is seeking a Principal Data Scientist specializing in personalization and customer algorithms to set the strategic direction for customer modeling across the business. You will lead high-impact initiatives to architect, train, and deploy personalization models that drive measurable value for customers and the company.

You will partner with Product Management and Tech Partnerships, champion MLOps and real-time inference, and mentor teams across the organization while advancing generative AI

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience building and shipping personalization engines, recommendation systems, and customer-level predictive models in fast-paced environments.
• Proven ability to translate ambiguous business challenges into measurable impact for KPIs.
• Strong track record of defining success metrics and validating customer impact through experiments and A/B testing.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategic direction for personalization and customer-level algorithms across On.
• Lead design, training, and deployment of batch and real-time models in production with governance.
• Partner with Product Management and Tech Partnerships to understand business challenges and deliver impactful algorithms.
• Drive measurable business value and customer outcomes across web, app, and messaging touchpoints.
