Job summary

Aviva plc is seeking a dynamic Principal Data Scientist to lead the data science agenda for the Personal Lines Retail team in the UK. You will guide and mentor a team, collaborating with stakeholders to design and deliver innovative data-driven solutions that improve business outcomes and customer experiences.

You will be deeply involved in pricing and underwriting analytics, with a strong focus on machine learning, statistics and AI to solve complex insurance problems at scale.

Qualifications

• Proven track record solving complex problems using statistics, ML, DL & AI.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management to explain complex ideas.
• Strong commercial acumen with strategic thinking and cross-functional impact.
• Able to deliver projects collaboratively with colleagues and external partners.
• Numerate and degree/postgraduate in Mathematics, Statistics or CS advantageous.
