Placements24 is recruiting a Lead Data Scientist for a pioneering mining technology client in Randburg, Gauteng. You will lead a team of data scientists and engineers, shaping advanced analytics strategies across sensors, operations, and maintenance to optimize throughput and safety.

We seek a PhD or Master’s in a quantitative field with 7+ years of experience, strong Python or R skills, and experience with Spark/Hadoop and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in data science with a focus on ML and predictive modeling.
• Proven experience leading data science projects and mentoring team members.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
