Job summary

AXA UK seeks a Lead Data Scientist to build advanced data science solutions, mentor a squad of data scientists, and shape how the business uses data. You will work with a cloud-based data lake, develop ML and Agentic AI models, and ensure models are deployed and governed.

The role emphasizes responsible AI within regulated environments, with hybrid work and collaboration with universities and open-source communities. You will lead end-to-end projects and drive measurable business value.

Qualifications

• Strong track record leading data science projects with measurable impact.
• Hands-on in ML model development, deployment, and monitoring with MLOps.
• Experience with Agentic/Generative AI in regulated industries.
• Proficient in Python; familiar with ML libraries, visualization, and Git.
• Experience mentoring data scientists.
• Experience with Databricks model serving on Azure.
• Excellent communicator with stakeholders.
• Eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
