Job summary

Capital Group seeks a Data Product Manager Lead to define and drive the vision for enterprise data products, owning the full lifecycle from discovery to launch and operation. You will lead a team of data product managers and analysts, champion AI-driven value, and collaborate across regional and global partners to balance requirements with a data strategy.

You will define data requirements, SLAs, data models, and lineage, while delivering end-to-end roadmaps and measurable OKRs.

• An experienced people manager, you hire, coach, set goals, and manage performance — growing both the functional skill and leadership capability of your people.
• You build trust across engineering, operations, governance, and business partners.
• You're a strong individual contributor who's willing to get hands-on, fill gaps, and see the work through — comfortable making the call and moving forward in ambiguity.
• You understand what makes data reusable, trusted, accessible, scalable, and secure, and you can define data requirements end to end.
• You bring strong attention to detail and expert-level proficiency with SQL (or modern scripting languages) and data analysis and visualization tools.
• You understand financial services and investment management well enough to spot opportunities for data-driven product improvements and translate them into business outcomes.
• You can represent UK/EU partners, champion their needs, and collaborate with globally distributed teams to balance regional requirements against a global strategy.
• You communicate clearly and proactively across technical, non-technical, and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Advocate, manage, and implement the value-driven use of AI across products and how we build them.
• Define and drive the vision for enterprise data products aligned with our data strategy.
• Gather and document customer needs—data requirements, transformation logic, data models, SLAs, data quality, and lineage.
• Own roadmaps that solve needs, balancing business outcomes, debt, risk, capacity, and data strategy.
• Lead product planning, delivery, and launch with clear priorities and managed customer expectations.
• Monitor feedback, define OKRs and KPIs, and continuously improve utilization and cost.
• Represent the data product team regionally and collaborate with the North America team.
• Build and manage a team of data product managers and analysts; hire, onboard, coach, and set goals.
• Foster expertise in data analysis, data quality, and data automation; manage performance.
