Job summary

Kainos is seeking a Lead Data Analyst in Belfast to drive data insight and align analytics with business needs. You will design and deliver reports, dashboards, and insights for senior stakeholders, acting in a consulting capacity within a fast-paced, collaboration-driven environment.

You will grow a small team, coach staff, and shape data strategies across projects, using Tableau, Power BI and Google Analytics to enable data-driven decisions at scale.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and analytical skills with a passion for data-driven decision making.
• Confidence engaging with senior customers on business and technical topics.
• Ability to lead and facilitate workshops.
• Experience contributing to bid responses and case studies.
• Identify opportunities for insight within business functions.
• Experience using and configuring data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Google Analytics.
• Review and comment on data models.
• Strong interpersonal skills to lead client projects and communicate in non-technical language.
• Experience in developing junior staff and leading a small team.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate workshops to gather requirements and align on data/insight needs.
• Identify, gather and analyse data to extract insights.
• Recommend visualization and dashboard developments for informed decisions.
• Extract insights across descriptive, diagnostic, predictive & prescriptive analyses.
• Help senior stakeholders meet operational and strategic data targets.
• Work with delivery teams to generate insight from digital services.
• Advise on effort and technical implications of dashboards.
• Contribute to data analytics community and capability growth.
• Manage and coach a small team, guiding career development and performance.
