E.ON Next is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to scale our Databricks-based data platform, delivering robust, production-grade data solutions for analytics, data science and operations.

You will lead data engineering within delivery teams, mentor engineers, engage with senior stakeholders and help shape architecture while ensuring security, governance and observability across the data estate.

Location in London with a hybrid working model; competitive salary and extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience with cloud data platforms.
• Experience with Databricks, Spark and AWS.
• Proficient in Python and SQL production-quality code.
• Strong data modelling, governance and quality mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data pipelines and models on Databricks.
• Lead data engineering work within delivery teams and mentor others.
