Job summary

Sainsbury’s is seeking a Data Architect for the Customer and Channels domain on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role focuses on designing and building scalable data solutions and models, collaborating with Product Owners and the Engineering community to deliver high-value data capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with semi-structured, high-volume data, ideally in Digital tagging or Analytics.
• Strong skills in stakeholder management.
• Hands on experience in DV 2.0 and Kimball dimensional data modelling.
• Clear understanding of conceptual, logical and physical data modelling.
• Experience in a matrix reporting structure.
• Ability to serve as the architecture custodian for the squad, ensuring standards and principles are followed.
• Knowledge of data products.
• Technical expertise in designing ELT pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Designing and building leading-edge data solutions and models.
• Deliver optimal data solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Triaging new requirements, assessing impact, and providing estimates for modifying data models.
• Developing and enhancing business physical data models to meet evolving needs.
• Defining and owning modelling within delivery teams and ensuring adherence to standards.
• Documenting, communicating, and centrally managing data models.
