Job summary

Wipro is seeking a Principal Consultant - Data Engineering & Architecture (GCP) for its Data, Analytics & AI practice in the UK. You will provide technical leadership across client engagements, designing cloud-native data platforms and data products, and guiding enterprise-scale data transformations.

You will lead multidisciplinary delivery teams, mentor engineers, and collaborate with senior stakeholders to drive strategy, architecture governance, and delivery excellence in a hybrid UK role.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with cloud data platforms (GCP or equivalent).
• Advanced expertise in Python, SQL, dbt and cloud-native data engineering services.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale ETL/ELT solutions and data products.
• Strong knowledge of data modelling, data quality and monitoring.
• Experience with automation, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Extensive experience designing enterprise data platforms.
• Knowledge of MDM, governance, metadata and integration patterns.
• Proven leadership of large-scale data programmes.
• Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
• Preferred: Google Professional Data Engineer and/or Cloud Architect certification.
• Preferred: AI, ML or Generative AI experience.
• Preferred: DataOps, MLOps and Lakehouse architectures.
