Job summary

Wipro Limited in the UK is seeking a Principal Consultant - Data Engineering & Architecture (GCP) to provide technical leadership across client engagements, delivering cloud-native data solutions. Working with clients, architects, engineers and business stakeholders, you will define scalable data architectures, lead delivery teams and support enterprise data transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with GCP or equivalent cloud data platforms.
• Advanced expertise in: Python, SQL, dbt, cloud-native data engineering services.
• Experience delivering enterprise-scale ETL/ELT solutions and data products.
• Strong knowledge of data modelling, data quality and monitoring.
• Experience with automation, CI/CD and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of cloud data platforms and data products.
• Develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and analytics solutions.
• Deliver solutions using Python, SQL, dbt and cloud-native services.
• Establish engineering standards, best practices and reusable frameworks.
• Ensure scalability, performance, security and operational excellence.
• Define enterprise data architectures aligned to business goals.
• Lead data modelling activities and platform design.
• Design solutions supporting analytics, reporting and AI use cases.
• Provide expertise in MDM, data governance and integration.
• Support technology selection and roadmap development.
• Lead multidisciplinary delivery teams.
• Provide architecture governance and technical oversight.
• Mentor engineers and architects.
• Engage senior stakeholders and manage delivery risks.
• Support solution design, estimation and proposals.
• Implement testing, validation and data quality frameworks.
