Job Title: Data Lead – Reporting & Insights

Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Data Lead to join a dynamic organisation operating within the financial services sector. This hybrid role (50% London-based) will play a key part in supporting both customer savings operations and marketing teams through data strategy, governance, and insight generation. The successful candidate will lead the development and enhancement of data reporting frameworks primarily through Tableau while championing data quality, compliance, and literacy across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, manage, and improve Tableau dashboards to meet evolving business needs.
• Partner with key stakeholders to interpret reporting requirements and provide data-driven solutions that inform strategic decisions.
• Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality, accurate, and timely reporting outputs.
• Offer hands-on support and training to internal users in Tableau and in the interpretation of reports.
• Lead the implementation of data strategies for both the savings and marketing areas, acting as a divisional representative within the enterprise-wide data governance group.
• Collaborate with internal partners to drive data-centric projects, particularly around regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR).
• Foster a culture of data literacy, providing guidance and upskilling opportunities across teams.
• Drive improvements in data integrity through structured processes, cleansing activities, and robust controls.
• Assist operational leads in designing effective procedures to support accurate data capture and maintenance.
• Map and document data flows from origin to endpoint, including maintenance of records of processing activities (ROPA).
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior staff involved in data initiatives.
• Resolve data-related technical issues and ensure smooth day-to-day data operations.
• Lead monthly reporting cycles on data performance, introducing key quality metrics and insights.

Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience in a data-focused leadership or senior analyst role, ideally within financial services or a regulated industry.
• Advanced proficiency in Tableau development and reporting.
• Strong understanding of data governance, GDPR compliance, and data lifecycle management.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to translate business needs into actionable data solutions.
• Experience guiding junior team members and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong analytical mindset with meticulous attention to data accuracy and integrity.
• Familiarity with data mapping, lineage documentation, and quality assurance practices.
