Role/Department:

We are seeking an engineer with extensive experience in Information and Data Loss Prevention (DLP). The candidate should have hands-on experience in implementing policies, processes, and architecture around DLP solutions, including incident resolution, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis. The role involves providing Level III technical support, debugging issues related to DLP policies, and understanding their implications. This position is part of the Data Protection team and will serve as the EMEA Lead for Data Loss Prevention initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement policies related to data loss prevention, file type restrictions, cloud app control, and tenant restrictions within the Zscaler platform.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement effective DLP enforcement.
  • Monitor DLP alerts, investigate potential data breaches, and take appropriate mitigation actions.
  • Generate reports on DLP activity, data leakage trends, false positives, and policy effectiveness.
  • Provide technical assistance, troubleshoot configuration issues, and advise on best practices.
  • Understand network protocols, firewalls, proxy servers, and traffic analysis to identify data breaches.
  • Assist in implementing DLP solutions, including unit testing and documentation.
  • Evaluate operational feasibility, analyze requirements, and propose solutions.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and Security teams as needed.
  • Review and recommend improvements in documentation and processes, including automation.
  • Operate independently with in-depth knowledge of business units/functions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, providing consulting and leadership.
  • Leverage IT experience with Zscaler DLP, Broadcom DLP, Secure Email, Azure Security (AIP, MIP, MCAS).
  • Deeply understand data loss prevention principles, data classification, regex, and data masking techniques.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of information security and risk management frameworks.
  • Have a good understanding of network management, operating systems, software development, and databases.
  • Exhibit excellent communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Be adaptable to change and flexible in work approach.
  • Experience in regulated environments (FFIEC, OSFI, PCI-DSS, SOX) is preferred.
