Job Description

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a highly skilled specialist to join our operations team as a Lead Critical Facilities Engineer (CFE Level VI). This day-time role involves developing innovative concepts within our Data Centres. You will engage with UK and Global stakeholders to improve operational performance and customer experience.

Role Scope
Management Structure & People Management
  • Serve as second point of contact when IBX manager or supervisor is unavailable.
  • Support IBX manager and site supervisors in daily operations.
Site Operations & Project Involvement
  • Involved in site build activities and switching schedules.
  • Responsible for planning and scheduling major projects and liaising with vendors.
  • Coordinate project timelines and vendor dates, and notify customers accordingly.
Customer Interaction
  • Act as a customer-facing representative.
  • Participate in Customer MBRs and key meetings.
  • Serve as an escalation point during major incidents.
Incident Management
  • Provide technical support during incidents and guide response teams.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and managers during incidents.
  • Support team members technically across all levels.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Assist in hiring processes as a technical assessor.
  • Role is Monday–Friday with flexibility for incident coverage.

  • Comfortable in fast-paced environments with technical oversight responsibilities.
