Job summary

Invecta, a leading global insurance organisation, is seeking an experienced underwriter to own a growing credit & surety book. The role covers SME/Micro and Mid-Market deals, portfolio risk analysis, deal structuring, and broker relationships.

You will drive business development by originating opportunities, attending industry events, and meeting clients. A background in underwriting SME trade credit or micro-surety is ideal, but transferable skills from actuarial or credit risk roles are

Qualifications

• Experience underwriting SME trade credit or micro-surety.
• Portfolio/risk analysis experience with deals across SME/Mid-Market.
• Ability to build and manage broker relationships and represent the firm.

An exciting opportunity has become available at a leading global insurance organisation for an experienced professional to take ownership of a growing book of credit & surety business.

As an established player in credit insurance markets, this company is looking for a talented underwriter to manage SME/Micro and Mid-Market deals. They are a leader in provision for SME default among Travel Agents, Estate Agents, Contractors, Suppliers and other similar organisations.

In this role, you will oversee the full transaction lifecycle — from portfolio and risk analysis to deal structuring and owning broker relationships.

You will also contribute to the firm’s business development efforts by originating new opportunities and building strong relationships with brokers and clients. This may involve attending industry events, conferences, and client meetings to represent the organisation as a trusted partner.

The ideal candidate will have experience with underwriting SME trade credit or micro-surety, but also those with transferrable skills should apply. This could be a good opportunity for an actuary, exposure manager or credit risk analyst who would be interested in moving into underwriting.
