Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' underwriting experience within commercial insurance (property/casualty).
• Cert CII or working towards ACII.
• Experience within a delegated authority environment.
• Advanced progression toward ACII preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing and underwriting quotations across commercial products in line with appetite and SLAs.
• Handle queries efficiently to support brokers and internal teams.
• Maintain regular communication with Business Development Managers to strengthen broker relationships.
• Act as a referral point for colleagues with lower underwriting authority.
• Collaborate with the wider team to meet SLAs and service standards.
• Respond to broker calls professionally and solutions-focused.
• Operate within delegated underwriting authority and escalate when needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to business goals.
