Job summary

Lendable is building a new second charge mortgage product and is seeking a Credit & Commercial Manager to own credit strategy from quote to completion. You’ll shape risk assessment, pricing, and credit policy while collaborating with a small, senior cross-functional team across product, engineering, legal, and commercial.

The role requires deep secured lending experience, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to design scalable decisioning logic and automation.

Qualifications

• Deep experience in secured lending credit risk, especially second charge mortgages or similar secured products.
• Strong knowledge of risk scoring and pricing frameworks used in secured lending.
• Understanding of funding constraints, LTV covenants, and property valuations.

Responsibilities

• Define credit policy and underwriting strategy for second charge mortgages, including affordability and decisioning frameworks.
• Own risk scoring, pricing, and scorecard development to balance volume and portfolio quality.
• Drive growth while maintaining portfolio quality through analytic insights and policy adjustments.
• Own IRR/NPV/cashflow models to understand asset economics and drive improvements.
• Translate credit policy into executable decisioning logic and collaborate with engineering for automation.
• Inform funding strategy with investor parameters on LTV, valuations, and concentration.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, legal, and compliance to ensure regulatory alignment.
