Job summary

European Tech Recruit are partnering with a leading semiconductor company in Cambridge seeking a Senior CPU Design Verification Engineer. You will validate CPU and SoC micro-architectures and lead verification activities across block/unit levels.

You will develop verification plans, create environments with stimuli, checkers, and assertions, and drive regressions to ensure launch readiness. Collaboration with chip architects is essential.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of micro-processor verification functions and architectures.
• Experience with RIS and block/unit level verification.
• Experience leading a small verification team.
• Knowledge of formal methods and silicon bring-up is helpful.
• Ability to work independently on a design block.

Responsibilities

• Understand CPU and SoC concepts and high-level system requirements.
• Develop detailed test and coverage plans based on Architecture.
• Create verification environment with stimulus, checkers, assertions, trackers, and coverage.
• Develop testbenches for your functional domain.
• Execute verification plans including design bring-up, DV environment bring-up, regressions, and debugging.
• Track DV progress using metrics such as bugs and coverage.
