Job summary

Lindum in Elvington, York, is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to lead from bid through construction. You will manage health, safety and environmental aspects, coordinate designers and subcontractors, and ensure on-time delivery within budget.

The role covers housing, commercial and industrial projects across multiple sectors with some contract training provided. A full driving licence and proficiency with MS Project, Excel and Word are required.

Qualifications

• Experience managing contracts across new build and refurbishment projects.
• Knowledge of housing, commercial and industrial sectors is preferred.
• Some contract training or qualifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce tender programmes, preliminaries, methodologies and support the estimator.
• Lead pre-construction team during the pre-construction phase and planning conditions.
• Chair design team meetings with client, professional teams and subcontractors.
• Plan and manage construction phase plans and health and safety paperwork.
• Oversee construction and delivery, manage safety, programme and costs.
• Prepare RFI schedules and forecast labour and plant for cost reports.
• Attend weekly/monthly labour and cost meetings and report progress.
• Provide monthly progress reports and maintain client contact.
• Support site managers and ensure RAMS compliance.
• Procure long lead items and coordinate services.
• Handover to customer care and support defects resolution.
