Job Description

Tripadvisor is a highly respected and trusted platform in the travel industry. The Trust and Safety team at Tripadvisor is responsible for all the user-generated content we receive from our members, which is central to our travel guidance offering. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Content Specialist to join our Content Moderation team.

As a Lead Content Specialist, you will leverage analytics to identify and moderate content to ensure compliance with guidelines and policies. You will contribute to projects that refine content moderation processes, foster continuous improvement, and align our efforts with broader business objectives.

What you will do:
  1. Lead moderation projects focused on enhancing the accuracy and eligibility of our published content.
  2. Implement innovative moderation techniques and tools to improve content reliability.
  3. Identify, analyze, and moderate content to ensure compliance with guidelines and policies, and implement strategic content improvements.
  4. Contribute to KPIs related to content moderation accuracy, response times, and user satisfaction.
  5. Report on individual and team performance metrics, and identify areas for process improvement.
  6. Participate in team discussions and projects, focusing on shared objectives and learning from experienced colleagues.
  7. Communicate moderation actions and guidelines effectively within the team, providing clear input during meetings.
  8. Produce detailed reports on moderation activities and outcomes.
  9. Contribute to internal documentation of moderation processes for clarity and usability.
  10. Use database querying and data analysis to track key metrics and analyze content trends.
  11. Drive project execution to improve tool efficiency, automation, and quality based on relevant metrics.
  12. Identify, quantify, and communicate the impact of bugs and other improvements.
Skills and Experience:
  • 4+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • University degree or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in user-generated content moderation.
  • Intermediate data analysis skills, with familiarity in tracking and reporting tools.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to influence and inspire.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate insights into actionable plans.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of multiple languages is a plus.
Job Location:

Hybrid (1 day/week in our London office).
