Job summary

The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre is recruiting a Consultant Radiologist to provide expert cancer imaging and diagnostic reporting. You will interpret CT, MRI and PET/CT scans and support oncology, haematology and palliative care teams.

Opportunities to develop subspecialist expertise in molecular imaging and oncological PET/CT reporting, with teaching responsibilities and involvement in service development.

Qualifications

• MBBS/MBChB or equivalent.
• FRCR qualification or equivalent.
• CCT in Radiology or equivalent training.
• Oncological radiology experience.
• Experience in audits and service improvement.
• Ability to teach medical students and supervise trainees.

Responsibilities

• Report and interpret CT, MRI and PET/CT imaging examinations.
• Provide specialist radiological support for cancer diagnosis and treatment.
• Participate in MDT meetings.
• Provide expert imaging advice to oncology, haematology and palliative care teams.
• Undertake image vetting and contribute to imaging protocol development.
• Support clinical governance, audits and quality improvement activities.
• Participate in teaching, training and supervision of medical staff.
• Develop radiology services across Trust locations.
• Support innovation and improvements in diagnostic imaging.
