Job summary

London Square is seeking a Project Planner to develop and maintain construction programmes for residential developments, ensuring on-time delivery by coordinating site and commercial teams.

The role requires experience with planning software (Asta Powerproject, MS Project, Primavera P6), strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Planner or Project Planner within residential construction.
• Experience on large mixed-use schemes including high-rise residential.
• Strong understanding of residential build processes and sequencing.
• Experience producing and managing construction programmes.
• Knowledge of UK construction methodologies and regulations.
• Proficient in planning software (Asta Powerproject preferred).
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed construction programmes for residential projects from pre-construction through to completion.
• Prepare baseline, target, and live programmes aligning with build strategy and phasing.
• Produce baseline, target, and live programmes using planning software (e.g. Asta Powerproject, MS Project, Primavera P6).
• Monitor progress against programme milestones and identify variances.
• Provide regular progress updates, look‑ahead programmes, and recovery plans where required.
• Analyse delay events and support mitigation strategies.
• Work closely with Site Managers, Project Managers, Commercial teams, and subcontractors.
• Attend project and progress meetings to review sequencing, constraints, and productivity.
• Support supply chain planning and coordination of key trades and materials.
• Identify programme risks and opportunities and propose solutions.
• Support extension of time (EOT) assessments where required.
• Produce clear, concise reports for senior management and clients.
• Contribute to improving planning standards, templates, and processes.
• Capture lessons learned to enhance future project planning.
