Job summary

Carbon 60 is seeking an experienced Construction Manager for a major industrial megaproject in South Wales. You will lead site operations, coordinating engineering, project delivery and stakeholders to ensure safe, on-time, on-budget delivery of a large-scale facility.

You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, drive programme execution, monitor progress, and report milestones. The role requires strong engineering knowledge, a proven track record in heavy industrial construction, and a proactive

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering large-scale industrial or heavy engineering construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of steel structures, fabrication, welding, and industrial facility construction.
• Proven experience leading large multidisciplinary teams within complex construction environments.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Experience using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure project environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all on-site construction activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across engineering, construction, logistics, and project controls functions.
• Develop, manage, and optimise construction programmes and resource plans.
• Monitor project progress against key milestones and implement corrective actions where required.
• Manage budgets, costs, procurement activities, and subcontractor performance.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements.
• Drive a strong health, safety, and environmental culture across site operations.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks affecting programme, cost, or quality.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with contractors, project teams, and key stakeholders.
• Provide regular progress reporting, highlighting achievements, challenges, and mitigation strategies.
