Job summary

The Conservation & Collections Care team is seeking a Senior Conservator (Masterplan Project) based at the Science and Industry Museum in Manchester. You will lead a team to deliver collections moves, stabilise and pack objects for transport to storage, while maintaining professional standards.

You will manage schedules, workflows and stakeholders, coordinating internal staff and external contractors, and reviewing RAMS for safe on-site operations.

Qualifications

• Solid, practical conservation experience with 3D objects, including condition reporting and remedial treatment.
• Experience in moving or decanting collections and getting objects ready for transport.
• Ability to review RAMS and work safely on site with contractors.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to deliver collections moves for the Masterplan project.
• Set schedules, plan workflows and manage the team's time to process objects efficiently.
