Job summary

Iconic Resourcing is supporting DGP Materials Handling in appointing a Company Accountant to own the finance function across two sites, manage a small team and drive process improvements. Reporting to the Finance Director, the role covers monthly management accounts, payroll via external provider, VAT, budgeting, cashflow, and year-end/audit support, with potential for progression in a growing SME.

Qualifications

• We're open to fully qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience in accounting.
• Experience preparing management accounts and overseeing finance operations.
• Strong reconciliation, reporting and month-end skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day accounts function across both sites.
• Leading and developing a team of five finance staff.
• Preparing monthly management accounts.
• Managing payroll submissions through an external provider.
• Completing VAT returns and other compliance requirements.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and cashflow planning.
• Overseeing accounts payable, receivable and credit control.
• Assisting with year-end and audit activity.
• Supporting the integration of a recently acquired business.
• Playing a key role in finance system and process improvements.
• Working closely with the Finance Director to support growth.
