Job summary

Hays Accountancy & Finance is partnering with an entrepreneurial manufacturing business to recruit a dynamic Company Accountant in Cinderford, Gloucestershire. The role is a permanent position reporting to the Group Financial Director and Company Directors, with responsibility for management accounting, analysis and day-to-day accounting duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar Company Accountant role.
• Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA/AAT or qualified by experience.
• Able to produce accurate work with high attention to detail.
• Experience in manufacturing sector and Sage advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and maintain fixed asset register.
• Maintain product costing, stock counts and valuations.
• Support directors with commercial/operational decision-making through timely financial information.
• Submit quarterly VAT returns, post journal entries and reconcile cashbooks.
• Prepare weekly/monthly supplier payment runs and perform credit control.
• Raise purchase orders and manage ad-hoc financial duties for senior management.
