Job summary

WeDo Business Finance is looking for a Commercial Electrical Project Manager to lead electrical packages on commercial construction projects in Congleton. You will ensure safety, on-time delivery, and budget adherence across office, retail, and mixed-use developments.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, coordinating with contractors, managing schedules and costs, overseeing installations and testing, and ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager in commercial construction.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of project planning, cost control and contract management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical works across commercial projects from pre-construction to completion.
• Review drawings, specs, and tender docs for feasibility and accuracy.
• Coordinate with main contractors, consultants and subcontractors.
• Develop and manage schedules, budgets and labour forecasts.
• Oversee installation of electrical systems and data/communications.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and health & safety standards.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor progress and quality.
• Lead testing, commissioning and handover processes.
• Provide regular progress reports to clients and senior management.
