Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Lead Nurse Colposcopist to lead and shape the colposcopy service within the Women’s Health Team across UHD. The post also carries the CSPL lead responsibility for cervical screening quality and workforce development.

The role requires a BSSCP-certified Colposcopist with advanced practice, extensive gynae/colposcopy experience, and a passion for service innovation and patient-centered care. Interview: 20 November.

• Experience leading colposcopy services and driving quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide autonomous colposcopy assessment, diagnosis and treatment.
• Lead the Colposcopy Service as CSPL lead across UHD.
• Develop and improve the Colposcopy Service across UHD.
• Collaborate with consultants, nursing staff and MDTs to ensure safe pathways.
• Lead governance, audit and service evaluation activities.
• Support education, supervision and development of staff.
• Contribute to business planning and service redesign.
• Participate in regional colposcopy networks and forums.
