Orion Electrotech Ltd in Essex is seeking a Production Technician to oversee day-to-day production activities, mentor operators, and drive continuous improvement on machining processes. The role requires hands-on leadership on the shop floor and collaboration with engineering and quality teams to meet output and quality targets.

The ideal candidate has a background as a CNC machinist or supervisor, with strong problem-solving and KPI-focused mindset, and is comfortable stepping onto machines

Qualifications

• Background as CNC Machinist, CNC Setter, CNC Programmer, CNC Team Leader or Production Supervisor.
• Experience leading a manufacturing team and improving performance.
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate daily production activities across the manufacturing area.
• Lead, mentor and develop production operators and machinists.
• Set production priorities and ensure schedules are achieved.
• Monitor performance, productivity and quality metrics.
• Carry out root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Provide hands-on machining support when required.
