Job summary

The Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is seeking a permanent development psychologist at band 7/8a to support the Memory Assessment Service and Older People's Community Mental Health Team in North Wales.

This role involves delivering individual and group psychological therapies, conducting neuropsychological assessments, and providing pre- and post-diagnostic support, with mentoring and supervision to develop competencies.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in Psychology.
• Eligibility for Graduate membership of the British Psychological Society.
• Doctoral qualification in clinical psychology accredited by the British Psychological Society, or equivalent for those trained before 1996 or overseas.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist clinical input to the Memory Assessment Service MDT
• Provide specialist clinical input to the Older People's Community Mental Health Team
• Deliver tailored individual and group psychological therapies to older adults
• Carry out specialist neuropsychological assessment and formulation
• Provide pre- and post-diagnostic support and intervention
• Train and supervise others, and carry out formulation work with them
• Provide specialist psychological knowledge and consultation to the multidisciplinary team
• Attend clinical MDT meetings, team referral meetings and service-wide business meetings
