Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (North Wales) is seeking a Principal Clinical Psychologist to provide leadership and expert input for older adult inpatient psychology services in the Central area. The post focuses on biopsychosocial MDT leadership, complex case management, supervision and service development within acute dementia/functional care.

Qualifications

• Eligibility for British Psychological Society Chartered status.
• Post-graduate Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or its equivalent) as accredited by the British Psychological Society.
• Registration with Health and Care Professions Council as a Clinical Psychologist.
• Knowledge of biopsychosocial MDT approaches and specialist psychological therapies.
• Experience with neuropsychological assessment and complex clinical presentations.

Responsibilities

• Provide highly specialised clinical psychology services to older adults in acute inpatient settings.
• Lead psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for complex cases.
• Offer supervision, training and consultation to MDT members.
• Deliver individual and group interventions and contribute to service development in the Older Adult pathway.
• Act as a specialist resource to the wider clinical community.
