Job Title: Lead Clinical Operations Manager

Location: On-Site (London Bridge)

Term: Permanent, Full Time

Purpose of the job

The Lead Clinical Operations Manager will oversee our clinic operations, requiring experience in clinical units/hospitals and team development.

Main duties and responsibilities

Leadership

• Coaching Clinical Managers and supporting their development
• Representing Clinical Operations in sponsor meetings and audits
• Hosting monthly team meetings for updates and engagement
• Setting and monitoring KPIs for departmental staff

Training

• Managing departmental training programs and delegating staff training

Resourcing

• Aligning departmental budget with workload, managing headcount decisions
• Approving departmental leave requests with Scheduling Department

Team Development and Management

• Leading recruitment and interviews
• Line managing COA/Ms
• Conducting appraisals for Clinical Managers

Oversight

• Receiving reports on departmental activities
• Monitoring intensive days and study dosing
• Reviewing Non-Conformance Reports and CAPAs

Skills and Experience

• BSc or higher in Life Sciences or related
• Understanding of clinical research and GCP
• 7-10 years of Clinical Trials experience, preferably in CRO
• At least 3 years in project leadership
• At least 2 years in team leadership/Line Management
• Experience in recruiting, training, and developing staff
