A healthcare trust in the UK is seeking a Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist to oversee the Tuberculosis (TB) services. We are looking to appoint a Lead Tuberculosis (TB) Clinical Nurse Specialist to take overall clinical responsibility for providing operational and clinical leadership for the Tuberculosis Prevention and Control Nursing Services in SaTH and across the communities of Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Powys.
The successful applicant will have experience of working as a TB Nurse within a healthcare setting.
The post holder is responsible for overseeing the prevention and control of TB across the regional communities working at a strategic level alongside Consultants in Communicable Disease Control, Infectious Disease Units and Epidemiologists at the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), as well as the Directors of Public Health in the Local Authorities and the TB/Respiratory Consultants within SaTH.
As the Lead Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will act as a role model and offer specialist clinical advice. In addition, the post holder will also lead a local team, conduct evidence research, audit, education and maintain a high level of specialist clinical acumen within the scope of this role.
