Job summary

CMR Jobs Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing, international client-facing team on a hybrid basis in the North West. Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with 3+ years post-qualification experience in client-facing accounting.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, VAT, Corporation Tax and statutory compliance.
• Experience supporting multi-entity businesses.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of UK and international clients, building strong long-term relationships and delivering an exceptional client experience.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts, management accounts, reconciliations and supporting journals in accordance with UK GAAP.
• Complete UK compliance work, including VAT returns, Corporation Tax returns and statutory filings.
• Provide technical accounting advice for multi-entity and international businesses while supporting complex client requirements.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to deliver accurate, high-quality work within agreed deadlines.
• Review technical outputs, mentor junior team members and contribute to maintaining high service standards.
• Support proposals, onboarding activities and client meetings by providing technical expertise where required.
• Maintain accurate client records and identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiencies and service delivery.
• Contribute to the growth of existing client relationships by identifying opportunities to add value and broaden service offerings.

The Role

As a Senior Accountant, you’ll take ownership of your own client portfolio, acting as a trusted adviser and ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely and commercially focused accounting services. Working closely with colleagues across the business, you’ll provide technical expertise, build lasting client relationships and support organisations operating across multiple jurisdictions.

About You

You will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with at least three years’ post-qualified experience in a client-facing accounting role. You’ll have strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, VAT, Corporation Tax and statutory compliance, together with experience supporting multi-entity businesses.

You’ll be an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills, commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience using technology, data and AI tools to improve efficiency and client outcomes is highly desirable.

Experience supporting international businesses, advisory services, group structures, consolidations, multi-currency reporting and cloud-based accounting systems would be advantageous but is not essential.
