Job summary

Turner Lovell Limited is recruiting a Senior Civil Design Engineer to lead the design of electricity substations across the UK, from concept to handover, overseeing drawings, calculations and specifications for civil structures and infrastructure.

The role requires a degree in Civil Engineering and at least 3 years' experience in power transmission or related infrastructure, with AutoCAD and knowledge of Civil 3D/Revit advantageous, in a collaborative hybrid UK environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 3 years of industry experience in power transmission or related infrastructure.
• Experience with AutoCAD; Civil 3D, Revit or Navisworks is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end civil design of electricity substations (up to 400kV) across the UK.
• Attend site visits, client meetings and design reviews to monitor progress and resolve issues.
• Coordinate with internal design teams and external stakeholders to meet scope, safety and quality requirements.
• Manage design risks and develop buildable engineering solutions.
• Oversee design reviews and integration with electrical and structural disciplines.
• Guide and mentor junior team members.
