Job summary

Remedy Social Work supports Leicestershire County Council in recruiting a Children's team manager for the Screening team on a part-time basis. You will lead frontline safeguarding practice and shape the performance of a dedicated team.

As a qualified social worker, you will set direction, chair meetings, oversee referrals, and ensure consistent thresholds while building strong partnerships with internal and external colleagues.

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker with proven track record in child protection.
• Experience in frontline safeguarding practice and thresholds.
• Leadership or management experience with team development.
• Ability to chair meetings and make safeguarding decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of screening social workers.
• Oversee allocation and progression of contacts and referrals.
• Promote a positive, collaborative team culture.
• Use performance data and KPIs to drive quality and throughput.
• Chair complex meetings and lead development work.
• Identify training needs and drive continuous improvement.
• Build internal and external partnerships for information sharing.
