Job summary

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker with frontline practice and governance knowledge.
• Experience in child protection and thresholds setting.
• Ability to lead, supervise, and develop a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate extensive statutory social work experience across public and private law.
• Lead and support a team of screening social workers.
• Oversee allocation and progression of contacts and referrals, ensuring thresholds are applied.
• Build partnerships to enable timely information sharing.
• Use data and KPIs to drive quality and throughput.
• Provide clear leadership and chair complex safeguarding discussions.
• Identify and support team training and development needs.
