Job summary

Delphi Care Solutions Ltd lauds a Senior Residential Support Worker to lead shifts in our Derbyshire children’s residential home. You will provide compassionate, child-centred care, supervise a team on shift, and ensure safeguarding and high standards of support are maintained.

Your role includes mentoring staff, promoting stability and positive relationships for children who have faced life challenges, and contributing to care planning to achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in a children’s residential care setting.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and professional judgement.
• Proven leadership and ability to mentor team members.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends and sleep-ins.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and support day-to-day running of the home.
• Provide high-quality, child-centred care and emotional support.
• Act as a positive role model for young people and colleagues.
• Support children to develop confidence, independence and life skills.
• Mentor Residential Support Workers on shift.
• Manage safeguarding concerns and promote safe practice.
• Administer medication and maintain accurate records.
• Build strong relationships with families and partner agencies.
• Contribute to care planning and positive outcomes.
