Job summary

Embrace Care in Preston is seeking a dedicated Team Leader to supervise a team of Support Workers in a children’s residential home. You will ensure care plans, safeguarding procedures and records are maintained to support Ofsted outcomes.

The role combines leadership, mentoring and hands-on care to create safe, nurturing environments for children with autism, ADHD and complex needs. The successful candidate will have experience in residential care, a Level 3 qualification (or working towards

Qualifications

Experience as a Senior Support Worker, Team Leader or similar in children's residential care.
Strong leadership with a calm, caring approach.
Level 3 qualification in Children's Residential Care or willingness to work towards Level 4/5.
Strong safeguarding knowledge and children’s residential care standards.
Commitment to positive outcomes for children and young people.

Responsibilities

Lead, supervise and support a team of Support Workers to deliver high-quality, child-centred care.
Ensure care plans and safeguarding procedures are followed consistently.
Support the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager with daily operations in an Ofsted-regulated home.
Promote routines, independence and skill development for children and young people.
Model professional practice and mentor staff to improve practice and outcomes.
Build positive relationships with families, social workers and external professionals.
